Homeless Ministry 

They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 61:3                                                                                                                  

Mighty Oaks is a ministry to people experiencing homelessness and those down on their luck where there is an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Jesus using practical service. Mighty Oaks in Aurora provides a home-cooked meal, fruit, and dessert on the first two Saturdays of the month at lunchtime. M.O. currently serves Comitis Homeless Shelter and the Aurora Day Resource Center—area, serving food and offering prayer.

We believe that the foundation of prayer underpins us, and we are continually thankful for our faithful prayer warriors! We hold regular prayer meetings to give thanks, seek guidance and pray for our beloved folks and volunteers. As a team, we have witnessed the excellent hand of God and have each felt tremendously blessed and encouraged by being a part of this ministry. We always need new volunteers in the capacity of cooks, servers, administration, and, most importantly, prayer warriors!
